Your questions, answered.
Can I visit a space before I book?
Yes, most owners like to meet you first. Start with a booking request with your dates and your idea. This is not a booking yet and nothing is charged. Then you plan a viewing together in the chat, and the exact address is shared once the viewing is confirmed. You only confirm and pay after the viewing, if the space is right for you.
Who is the rental agreement between?
Between the brand and the owner. Pop This Shop connects you and handles the booking and the payment, and the agreement is generated with all the booking details and signed online by both of you.
Why book and pay through Pop This Shop?
Because it keeps you both protected. Your payment is handled safely by our payment partner, every booking comes with a signed agreement and reviews, and we are there to help if something goes wrong. That is why bookings and payments between people who met here always go through Pop This Shop, also when you book together again. Please don't arrange a booking or payment outside the platform: you would lose that protection, and it is not allowed by our Terms.
What if our pop-up turns into a long-term lease?
That is the best kind of success story! If you sign a commercial lease of 12 months or more with someone you met here, simply let us know from your account within 14 days of signing. The owner pays a one-off fee of one month's rent, much like a real-estate agent's fee, and from then on the lease is all yours to manage directly. You can find the details in our Terms.
Does my space have to be visible to everyone?
No. You can keep your listing private, browse the brands looking for a space and contact the ones that fit your place.
What about a security deposit?
A deposit is not handled by Pop This Shop. If the owner asks for one, it is agreed and paid directly between you, as stated in the rental agreement.
Is insurance included?
No. Brands and owners are responsible for their own insurance, such as liability or event insurance. Check with your insurer before your pop-up.
What if I need to cancel?
No worries, plans can change. You can cancel from your account in a few clicks, and you see straight away what you get back. The earlier you let us know, the more you get back.
Clear, fair rules look after both sides: owners aren't left with an empty space at the last minute, and brands get a full refund if an owner cancels. All details are in our Terms.
